A few blog posts ago I was remembering a time when I used to draw more just for fun and I set out to make that a habit again. Well, I'm pleased to say that last week, this started to happen. I've been making time most evenings to do some fun, light and unpolished fashion sketches. This one that I did tonight didn't even get fine lined in black ink which is unheard of for me. I'm hoping this new habit continues, it's a lovely way to unwind in the evenings and also to experiment with my style.

I took a trip to Castle Howard on the weekend, an amazing 18th century residence nestled in a 1000 acres of lush english landscape. It's also the place that Brideshead Revisted was filmed, am super keen to watch the rest of the series now as I only got as far as episode one. Here are a few snaps from the day, I restrained myself from posting millions of photos :)
xx I've been collecting images of pretty pastel lasses on Pinterest for a little while now with a view to one day draw them. I finally got round to doing a little drawing of one the other night, here she is.
xx Here's some more snaps from my time up here in Yorkshire. Another new favourite thing to do is to visit English seaside towns in the off season, you get all the delightfully English things without the crowds, and let's face it, it never gets that hot anyway :p These cute pics were taken in Whitby, a delightful seaside town that is well worth checking out! Enjoy xx
As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm currently living in a Buddhist Retreat Centre which just so happens to be a converted Georgian Mansion. The house is absolutely stunning and one of my new favourite things to do is finding cute parts of the house to photograph for my Instagram account. Here are a few of the detail shots I've been taking, hope you enjoy xxx
Something very exciting happened today....the children's book I illustrated has been published and is now available to purchase here It's well worth having a flick through in preview, its such an inspiring and important book for children and I'm so proud to have been part of it. As promised, here is an update on progress of the illustrations for the 2nd Hippies in the City book. I'm not sure yet where this hippy will feature but I have a feeling she's going to be part of the astrology section, really love her hair xx Well I have to say, the city of York has really captured my heart. It's a great mix of castle, shops, quirky cafes, cosy nooks and friendly people. I've just enjoyed a truly relaxing day in York, here are some snaps of the day, hope you enjoy :) Betty's Tea Rooms Really loved this vintage shop called The Grey Bear
