After being back in the UK for almost 2 weeks now it's starting to sink in that I am home....home at last. As much as I have adored living in Australia there is something so healing and grounding about being back on home soil. Winter is such a magical time of the year in England, especially in Shropshire where my folks live. I forgot how magical the garden looks covered in frost, and the smell of the english woodlands and the vibrancy of the greens in the fields. It's an odd thing to have missed but I've missed moss, and crunchy leaves underfoot, and conkers! I've also missed dressing for an english winter which I'm having a lot of fun with at the moment, my new favourite item being my navy Duffel coat which is super comfy and goes with everything! here are a few pics to capture my love affair with an English Winter.
I've just flown home from Melbourne to spend Christmas in the UK, it's the first time in about 8 years. Home for me is Shropshire but I wanted to spend a few days in London first as no one quite does Christmas like London. I've mainly been hanging out in the cutest cafes London has to offer in Soho and Wimbledon and then taking in all the Christmas windows in Piccadily Circus and Brick Lane. I have to say, London you have stolen my heart :) Here's a few snap shots of my last few days. Now, home to Shropshire :)
Just had fun putting together this mock up of a sofa (from Habitat btw) covered in my Zodiac cushions. Why is it that girls love cushions so much, I personally feel like you can't have too many :)
